Short Term Tutoring
There are times when tutoring services are needed to address a short term problem such as memorizing the basic math facts.  These tutoring sessions are set up to meet one or two specific goals.  Once the goal is met, then the sessions come to an end.  We love to see our students experience success!

Homework Help

We are here to offer assistance with homework after school.  If you are spending a lot of time arguing with your child about their homework, getting help may be the answer.  Allowing someone else to step in and help with homework, removes a stressful situation and helps to restore the parent/child relationship.

Reading and Writing Difficulties

Orton-Gillingham is one of the best approaches to remediating reading, writing and spelling issues.  This  involves direct explicit instruction that is structured, systematic, sequential and multi-sensory.  The lessons are designed to meet the specific needs of each individual student.  Using a variety of activities involving each of the senses increases the ways in which the brain interprets information.

 Math Difficulties
Dyscalculia is a learning disability in math.  While there is no test for dyscalculia, there are consistant characterists that can be observed during testing.  There are also specific  strategies that students can use to improve their math skills.
